24. If you live close to the Fremont area and have free time, are you willing to drop by in case we have a free spot?

We may have unexpected open spots on the collection days. We are looking for people (Back-ups) willing to come to the venue to see if any spots would be open.

  • You would need to be free for 4 hours.
  • If there is an open slot, you would become a Primary Participant, and complete the entire session.
  • If none are available, you will be sent home within about 2 hours and paid $50 per hour for your time you've spent on site.

If you cannot stay for the duration you are needed on site, no payment, even partial, will be made. Once you become a Primary Participant, you will no longer be able to come in as a Back-up.

24. Primary / Backup preference

25. Understanding the difference between Primary Participant and Back-up Participant

As a Primary Participant:

  • You will receive $50 per hour for your session, once completed according to our requirements.
  • A session is expected to last around 2 hours.
  • If your session lasts 2 hours, you will receive a $100 payment.
  • If you need to leave before your session has been successfully completed, no payment, even partial will be possible.

As a Back-up Participant

  • You will receive $50 per hour, per visit, for the time you are on site
  • We either find you an empty slot in 2 hours, or you are free to leave
  • If you can't stay for 2 hours, no payment, even partial, will be made
  • Once we find you a slot, you are considered as a Primary Participant

Payments:
All payments will be made via a GiftPay virtual gift card, that can be used in over 50 stores across the US and online. See this link for details.

Whether you are a Primary Participant or a Back-up participant, you are expected to arrive on time, a little early is recommended. If you arrive after the session start time, we may not be able to consider you, and if so, no payment will be made.
