Any amount of time spent in CrowdGen Slack Project Channels is considered non-billable time and should not appear on your CrowdGen invoice.
Important Reminder About Channel’s: The CrowdGen Slack Project Channels are provided as a platform for seeking clarification, quality concerns, support with project specific confusions, etc.
Use of the CrowdGen Project Channel’s requires adherence to the following terms, which may be amended from time to time by CrowdGen, Inc. in its sole discretion without prior notice. The CrowdGen Slack Project Channel’s Terms of Service are in addition to any additional terms and conditions you have agreed to. By using the CrowdGen Slack Project Channel’s, you agree to these Terms of Service.
- The ability to create and post messages to the CrowdGen Slack Project Channel’s requires that you register by providing a “screen name”. This screen name will appear to anyone in the channels as part of any messages that you post. The screen name may also appear in a list of users currently or recently online, and in lists of other types of channel participation.
- Registered users may be denied the ability to post messages if Prohibited Conduct (see below) is exhibited. CrowdGen reserves the right to deny individual channel users’ permission to post messages, temporarily or permanently, in order to maintain operation of the channels for their intended purpose.

Description and Purpose of CrowdGen Slack Project Channels
The CrowdGen Slack Project Channels is provided as a support function to ask questions related to the guidelines, edge cases, confusions, needed clarifications, etc. Below is a list of guidelines that we ask everyone to respect and follow. This is addition to our Contributor Standards . Please know refusal to follow could result in suspension from the channel group in addition to corrective action for repeated offenders.
- Our channels give you the space to connect with project teams and ask questions regarding confusion with the project.
- Please use professional conduct when posting on chat. While we understand frustrations may arise, please reach out respectfully for support.
- Unprofessional conduct of any kind will not be tolerated and will be subject to corrective action.
- Treat others with respect and dignity. Our aim is to foster teamwork, participation and encourage the representation of different perspectives.
- Report inappropriate behavior and comments that are discriminatory, harassing, abusive, offensive, or unwelcome.
The CrowdGen Slack Project Channels is not an official avenue of customer service and overall support but is a place to ask questions related to confusions with project guidance. If you require assistance from CrowdGen, please raise a ticket HERE.
Prohibited Conduct
CrowdGen shall have the right (but not the obligation) in its sole discretion to monitor, refuse or remove any content for any or no reason, including any content violating these Terms of Use or is otherwise objectionable. The following types of conduct are prohibited and, if exhibited through postings/threads on the channels, CrowdGen may exercise its enforcement rights. Please know this list is not inclusive and subject to change to meet the needs of the business. (see below):
- Vulgar, obscene, hateful, abusive content.
- Hate speech, discrimination, personal attacks or harassment of any kind are not permitted.
- Disclosure of private information or content that is not your own or that you do not have the right to provide to the public, such as:
- personal phone numbers, addresses or other contact information that is not your own.
- private information such as social security numbers
- copyrighted content or trade secrets.
- Threats against CrowdGen or competitors.
- Threats against any clients of CrowdGen.
- Off-topic content not relevant to community purpose.
- Advertising, promotion or solicitation of third-party products, services or organizations, including chain letters, class action lawsuits, charitable appeals.
- Discussion of competing or related work opportunities.
- Discussion of any 3rd party software application or tool, unless the 3rd party application is specifically required to be used by CrowdGen.
- Content or links to content that contain contaminating or destructive features that may damage someone else’s computer.
- Duplicate or excessively repeated submissions in one or more areas.
- Content designed to evade profanity or other filters such as sarcasm that is meant to impede morale.
- Content used to impersonate another person.
- Content or behavior that violates any applicable laws.
- Content or behavior that interferes with the operation of the site or with another member’s ability to use the site.
- Evading site controls such as bans, or otherwise disregarding the directions of the site moderators or administrators.
Chat Etiquette
In addition to the prohibited conduct set forth above, patrons of our channels should also observe the following chat etiquette.

Channel moderators are here to support and provide guidance to the group. Please reach out by submitting a ticket for further assistance. Rude behavior and negative comments as outlined in the code of conduct will not be tolerated and could be subject to progressive discipline. - Be respectful of others at all times.
The purpose of our channels is to provide a platform for the exchange of information. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting. - Be community-minded.
Express yourself in ways that are constructive and will help foster the growth of the community. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community. Please use common sense when discussing off topic themes and be considerate of others. - Personal attacks are prohibited.
Commonly known as “flaming,” personal attacks are statements which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. - Trolling is prohibited.
“Trolling” is the phrase used to describe a remark which is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the community. Comments of this nature are disruptive and will not be tolerated. - Mutings, kicks, warnings and bans are not to be discussed.
Such matters shall remain private between CrowdGen and the user. Questions or comments concerning moderation methods will be conveyed through private messages only, and only with the parties involved. - “Newbie” bashing will not be tolerated.
New agents are encouraged to participate in these channels. Observing the conversations in channels is a great way for those who are new to CrowdGen to ask questions and learn more about rating. All patrons are expected to be polite and are encouraged to be helpful and courteous in their responses. - Keep the channel positive.
You should endeavor to keep the channel group positive with respect to your work, your colleagues, and support. Please address concerns in a professional manner and if your concern requires more attention, please refrain from using the channel and submit a ticket for one-on-one support. - Stay on topic.
First and foremost, the purpose of channel is to provide project specific quality related support and areas of confusion that may arise. Adding negative comments about the work, client or the company is not helpful and will be addressed. Please use the channel to provide support as fellow raters may be experiencing a similar issue. - Speak to what you know.
Please do not intentionally post misinformation or third hand knowledge that may be construed as gossip. Posting inaccurate information may cause frustration for other raters who rely on the channel for support.
User Submitted Content
With respect to any content you elect to post in any area of the channels, including ideas, concepts or proposals for new services or products, you grant CrowdGen a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sublicensable right and license to use and display such content worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology, without compensation or attribution to you.
CrowdGen does not control or guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of content posted on the chat servers. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any content, or for any mistakes, defamation, slander, libel, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, pornography, or profanity you may encounter. All content posted by users, including any opinions, advice or recommendations expressed, are those of the users providing such content and not those of CrowdGen. We do not endorse any content or any opinion, recommendation or advice.
Enforcement
Engagement in Prohibited Conduct may result in CrowdGen, in its sole discretion, taking one or more of the following enforcement actions:
- removal of content
- editing submissions to remove content that violates these Terms of Service
- restricting or otherwise limiting accounts
- banning accounts
- removal from evaluation programs
- any other action deemed appropriate by CrowdGen
Any waiver or failure by CrowdGen to enforce any provision of these Terms of Use on one occasion will not be deemed a waiver by CrowdGen of any other provision or of such provision on any other occasion.

CROWDGEN EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES AND RESPRESNTATIONS OF ANY KIND. THE CROWDGEN SLACK CHANNEL AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” CROWDGEN DOES NOT WARRANT OR GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, ADEQUACY, OR CURRENCY OF THE CROWDGEN SLACK CHANNEL AND RELATED SERVICES, AND CROWDGEN DOES NOT ENDORSE THE VIEWS OR OPINIONS THAT MAY BE EXPRESSED IN THE CROWDGEN SLACK CHANNEL.
