Project allocation criteria

Project allocation criteria are designed to streamline your search and application process, showing you only the projects you are eligible for.

Eligibility is determined by factors such as your location, language skills, and qualifications. Some projects require specific demographics to ensure a diverse perspective or to address biases in products. For example, we may recruit individuals with speech impediments to improve the effectiveness and inclusivity of voice assistants.

Remember, you can update your profile at any time to reflect changes in your location or qualifications. (if you have questions on how to do so, see here).

Applying to or not applying to certain projects does not impact your ability to access or apply for future projects. Availability is solely based on client requirements, such as country, language skills, equipment accessibility, or even specific age groups for, as an example, projects targeting senior citizens.

It is important to note that eligibility for projects is determined by the information you provide during the signup process. Additionally, any significant changes in task management and allocation methods will be communicated to workers through a consultation process.

Exceptions

It is possible that previous project performance may influence qualification for specialized projects that require subject matter expertise, such as Transcription, Translation, Linguistics, Legal, or Healthcare. In these cases, we may invite contributors who have excelled in similar past projects to form specialized teams for efficient task completion. It is important to understand that this is the exception, not the rule, in our qualification process.
