This project’s goal is to help AI recognize the specific accent commonly spoken in Québec. If you grew up or have lived most of your life in the region and French is your primary language, you likely have the accent we’re looking for.
The key is simply that you speak the natural, everyday French you would use with friends and family in Montréal.
You will be paid in cash immediately on-site after you complete the recording session. The payment is a fixed amount of USD $40. You can choose to receive that amount or the equivalent in Canadian dollars based on the day’s exchange rate.
Absolutely no preparation is needed. The goal is to capture a natural, spontaneous conversation. A facilitator will provide some simple, everyday topics (like hobbies, recent movies, or life in the city) to help get the chat started. Your only task is to be comfortable speaking casually with the 1–2 other participants.
