Project Salamander (P26P3) aims to improve in-car safety technology by enhancing its ability to quickly detect and respond to unsafe driver and passenger positions. Using advanced eye and face tracking technology, this research helps vehicles recognize potential risks more accurately. The tasks are designed to simulate scenarios that could compromise safety in a real driving situation.
Sit in a stationary car equipped with cameras while a supervisor guides you through simple actions like drinking, talking on a cell phone, buckling your seatbelt, pretending to sleep, and looking around. These actions help improve in-car safety technology.
