Most car safety systems aren’t designed for pregnant women. We’re studying how expectant mothers move and buckle up in cars so future technology can better protect you and your baby.
Join our car safety research in Kingsford, Sydney, and earn up to $270 for helping other mums-to-be.
Whether you’re a student, parent, professional, or retiree, you’re invited to join our research study! Just visit our Chatswood office and sit in a stationary car.
Join solo and earn A$100, bring a child (1-7 years) for A$120, or participate with an older child (8-11 years) for A$150.

All tasks will be conducted safely under supervision while the car is parked.
Project Salamander (P26P5) aims to improve in-car safety by helping vehicles quickly detect unsafe driver and passenger behaviour using advanced eye and face tracking technology.
▷ Perform light movements like buckling your seatbelt, shifting in your seat, or reaching for your phone
▷ A safety supervisor will guide you throughout the session
▷ Your car stays fully parked during the entire study
▷ Your movements will be recorded for the study

▷ Be currently pregnant, with a visibly showing baby bump

Yes — small cameras and sensors will be temporarily placed inside your car using suction mounts.
These are used to record how you move during the session, and everything is supervised, non-invasive, and removed after the study.
No permanent changes are made to your vehicle.
No problem at all. Your comfort and safety come first. Just let your supervisor know at any time — you’re free to pause or take a break whenever you need to.
Our waiting list is currently closed, but Geolancer is going public at the very end of August and it will be rolled out gradually across Southeast Asia.
